Pear-Shaped Tungsten Carbide Loop Tool with Large Walnut Handle & a diamond file~ The Hardest Pottery Trimming Tool by Hsin-Chuen Lin
Tungsten Carbide Pear-Shaped Loop Tool with Large Walnut Handle & a 600 grit sharpening diamond file~ The Hardest Pottery Trimming Tool designed by Hsin-Chuen Lin
Design:
The tool is combined with 3 parts, exotic walnut wooden handle, brass cap and post, brazed with tungsten carbide loop.
1. The loop is wider and thicker for more durability.
2. The angle of the blade is much sharper.
3. In case, the looping tool is accidentally broken, the beautiful wooden handle is reusable by simply replacing the looping blade.
4. The design is much better for resharpening, QR code instruction included.
Caution:
Though Tungsten Carbide can maintain the sharp cutting edge much longer, it is not related to steel, nor is it flexible or bendable in the fingers. Do not bend the end to see how strong it is.
Tungsten carbide is a very hard, dense material (ranking about 9 on Mohs scale). It is somewhat as brittle as fired ceramics. Please take good care to keep them from bumping on hard material, falls, or being moving around in a tool box when traveling.
Resharpening instruction:

The blades stay sharp for months. If needed, using a fine diamond file (400 Grit or finer) sharpen the inner side of the loop tool. The outside part of the tools have already beveled. By filing the inner part of the tools you should be able to make the tool sharp again.
